Annabelle Glass, 82, of East Freedom, passed away Wednesday September 29, 2021 at UPMC-Altoona. She was born December 17, 1938 in Pavia, daughter of the late James Helsel and Ruth (Brown) Helsel-Patterson. She married George “Ed” Glass on April 4, 1959 in Winchester, VA. He preceded her in death on March 6, 2014.
Surviving are three sons Tyke Glass (Barb) of Queen, Dave Glass (Jodi) of Imler and Dan Glass of Everett, five grandchildren Tyler, Jared, Sydni, Kari and Kyle Glass, two great grandchildren Saylor and Vanna and expecting a third in December, three sisters Vera Brown, Phyllis Dodson and Mary June Mock and two brothers Eddie Wayne Patterson and Fred Patterson. She was preceded in death by a son Sam Glass, a sister Sally Walter and a brother James Helsel.
Annabelle was a 1957 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School. She was employed at Peggy’s Diner and H&R Block and previously at Cove Shoe Factory and Butterick.
Annabelle attended Silver Sneakers at Garver YMCA and was active in the Claysburg Little League, when her boys were young. She enjoyed flowers, sewing and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Claysburg Volunteer Fire Company or the Claysburg Food Bank.
