Barbara E. Benton

Barbara E. Benton, 84, formerly of Claysburg, passed away Friday November 20, 2020 at Maybrook Hills Center after a lengthy illness. She was born July 21, 1936 in Claysburg, daughter of the late Archie and Clara (Musselman) Musselman. She married Frank L. Benton Sr. on Jan. 24, 1964 in Claysburg.  He passed away March 15, 2007.

Surviving are a son Frank L. Benton, Jr. (Lisa), daughters Susan Swope (Harold) and Charlotte Dodson (Ken), grandchildren Danielle, Kenny, Theresa, Erika, and Shannon, great grandchildren Westen, and Bentley. She was preceded in death by a brother Elvin Musselman.

Barbara was a member of the Upper Claar Church of the Brethren and graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School. She worked at Cove Shoe for many years.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Internment at Claar Cemetery
