Barry L. Corle

Barry L. Corle, 77, of Claysburg, passed away Sunday January 7, 2024 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. He was born Sept. 25, 1946 in Claysburg, son of the late Anson L. and Edith M. (Ritchey) Corle.

He is survived by his wife Joyce, daughters Gretchen Bennett and husband Neil of Louisville, KY and Jessie Repko and husband Matthew of East Freedom and grandsons Watson and Nolan.  He was preceded in death by brothers Donald, Arnold, Robert, Anson “Outch” and Cecil Corle.

Barry graduated from Greenfield-Kimmel High School in 1964 and served in the U.S. Army. He was employed at the Juniata Locomotive Shop and later at Champion Home Builders and for various construction companies.  He retired as a self-employed carpenter.  He enjoyed wood working and oil painting and was a longtime member of the NRA.

Barry was a member of the Claysburg Church of the Brethren.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.  Interment in Bedford County Memorial Park.

Memorials may be given to St. Jude’s Children Hospital or Feeding America.
