Beatrice “Bea” Cannarsa January 7, 1932 – December 22, 2023
Beatrice “Bea” Cannarsa, 91, formerly of Santa Teresa, NM and Duncansville, passed away peacefully Friday December 22, 2023. She married Henry R. Cannarsa on December 28, 1952. He preceded her in death in 2006.
Surviving are her children Terry Cannarsa (John Dively) of East Freedom and Richard Cannarsa (Maria) of New Mexico; five grandchildren, Mysti Stitt, Nathan, Cyle, Dante, and Dylan Cannarsa; and two great grandchildren Emalee and Mason Stitt.
Bea was employed by the A&P Company in Altoona as a comptometer operator. After retiring, she volunteered for many non-profit agencies, mainly at the Altoona Hospital emergency department, as a Eucharistic Minister and for Hospice.
Bea was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg and St. Mark’s in El Paso, TX.
In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, playing Bridge and Pinochle, but most of all spending time with family.
At Bea’s request, there will not be any public services.
Memorial contributions may be given to Penn State Health Children’s Hospital at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
