Bessie B. Dively, 74, of Claysburg, passed away Tuesday June 28, 2022 at UPMC-Altoona. She was born December 21, 1947, daughter of the late Leroy and Verneda (Eicher) Black.
Surviving are two sons Tye Dively of Hollidaysburg and Tod Dively and wife Wendy of Imler, two grandsons Alex and Justin, a brother Tim Black and wife Cathy of Hollidaysburg and her fiancée Dennis Burket. She was preceded in death by two brothers Robert and Benjamin Black.
Bessie was a 1965 graduate of Claysburg-Kimmel High School. She retired in 2003 as a waitress at King’s Restaurant and was previously employed at Ed’s Steak House, Veeder-Root and Sylvania.
Bessie was a member of the Lower Claar Church of the Brethren where she served as Deacon and served on the Church Leadership Team. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and spending time with her family.
Friends will be received from 10 A.M. until the 11:00 A.M. memorial service on Saturday July 2, 2022 at the Lower Claar Church of the Brethren, 1044 Lower Claar Road Claysburg, PA 16625, with Pastor John Winesickle officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to her church.
