Beth Anne George

Beth Anne George, 52, of Duncansville, passed away Thursday June 29, 2023 at home. She was born May 30, 1971 in Williamsport, daughter of the late Frank E. and Kathryn Ruth (Caldwell) Wheeland. She married Doug George on September 9, 2009 in Radiant, VA.

Surviving is her husband, a son Adam Kuruzovich and wife Lindsy, and four grandchildren Elliott, Jaxson, Lillyana and Avery.

Beth was a 1989 graduate of Central High School and received an Associate Degree in Nursing from the Conemaugh School of Nursing in 1992. She then received a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown in 1993. She was employed as a home nurse at various home nursing agencies in Pennsylvania and Virginia.

Beth was a member of the Evergreen Church of the Brethren, Standardsville, VA. She enjoyed crafts, making wreaths, coloring, and working in her flower beds, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandkids.

Friends will be received from 1 P.M. until the 3:00 P.M. funeral service on Monday July 3, 2023 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg with Pastor Russell Hoffman officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Blair County Association for the Blind or St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital.
