Betty J. Tipton

Betty J. Tipton, 78, of Claysburg, went to be with the Lord Tuesday November 24, 2020 at UPMC - Altoona. She was born August 4, 1942 in Portage daughter of the late Clifford and Elizabeth (Gall) Williams. She married Frederick M. Tipton, Sr. on September 7, 1957 in Newry. He passed away June 29, 2009.

Surviving are children Marjorie Thomas (Larry), Lisa Dively (Jerry), and Frederick, Jr. of Claysburg and Betty Dively of Roaring Spring, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and sisters Rosemary and Margaret.  She was preceded in death by a daughter Naoma Walter.

Betty was an avid member of the Claysburg Church of God where she sang in the choir. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her family.

A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment at Claysburg Union Cemetery.
