Calvin M. Claar, 80, of Queen, passed away Thursday July 22, 2021 at home. He was born November 2, 1940 in Roaring Spring, son of the late Wilmer Claar Sr. and Florence (Eicher) Claar. He married Ruby Feathers on June 27, 1959 in Pavia.
Surviving is his wife, a daughter Yvonne Weitzel, both of Queen, 4 grandsons Aaron, Adam and Brian Lebendig and Alex Claar, 10 great grandchildren Teaira, Mickael, Shayley, Kaylyn, Ethan, Emily, Korey, Elliot, Kevin and Hailey and a brother Jerry Claar.
He was preceded in death by a son Kevin M. Claar, a brother Wilmer Claar Jr. and a half sister Florence Woodring.
Calvin was a 1959 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School. He retired in 2002 after being a self-employed logger for more than 40 years. He enjoyed racing and watching old westerns.
Friends will be received from 1 P.M. until the 2:00 P.M. funeral service on Saturday July 24, 2021 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg with Chaplain Ruth Joudrey officiating. Interment at Greenfield Cemetery.
