Carol A. Smith

Carol A. Smith, 82, of Mountain Penny Lane Claysburg, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at the home of her granddaughter. She was born October 7, 1942 in Altoona, daughter of the late Robert and Nelda (Flick) Bayle. She married Glenn E. Smith on May 31, 1969 in Altoona. He passed away April 8, 2018.

Surviving are sisters Cindy O’Leary husband Denis,  and Linda Kennawell, granddaughters Landi Vollkommer and husband Craig, Brandi Smith, Leah Smith and Natasha Teeter and several nieces and nephews.

Carol was a member of the Queen United Methodist Church. She was a 1960 graduate of Altoona High School and retired from Butterick after 40 years of service.

She enjoyed animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, and goats, planting and buying flowers, canning, and going to lunch with friends.

Friends will be received from 3:00 P.M. until the 5:00 P.M. funeral service on Monday February 10, 2025 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg, Pastor Calvin Miller officiating. Interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be given to the Queen United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
