Carole D. Brown, 52, of Claysburg, passed away Thursday February 17, 2022 at Donahoe Manor, Bedford. She was born January 7, 1970, in Altoona, daughter of the late Harold Lester Ritchey Sr. and Della Diane (Weyandt) Cox.
Surviving are two sons Kyle and Joseph Brown, both of Claysburg, her ex-husband Claude Brown of Tennessee, two grandchildren Ryan and Olivia Brown, her step father James Steinmann in South Carolina, two brothers Harold “Jake” Ritchey Jr. of Bedford and Irvin Ritchey of Pennsylvania and two sisters Cathy Imler of Bakers Summit and Vickey Mauro of Altoona. She was preceded in death by a sister Gail Dodson.
Carole graduated high school in Florida and received her Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Pennsylvania State University. She was a self-employed legal consultant.
Carole enjoyed being outdoors, sight-seeing, traveling and spoiling her grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 4-8 P.M. on Tuesday February 22, 2022 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday February 23, 2022 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Claysburg, with Pastor Erik Lingenfelter officiating. Interment at Claysburg Union Cemetery.
