Charles C. “Charlie” Weyant, 83, of Claysburg, passed away Thursday December 2, 2021 at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. He was born November 23, 1938, in Waterside, son of the late William Clarence and Anna Elizabeth (Robison) Weyant. He married Loretta (Boughamer) Stetter on November 29, 2010 in Roaring Spring.
Surviving is his wife, two sons Charles C. Weyant Jr. of Reynoldsdale and David W. Weyant (Lori) of Green Bay, WI, a daughter Cheryl Weyandt (Paul) of Imler, stepson Robert Stetter of Claysburg, stepdaughter Lisa Shawley (Ron) of Altoona, 9 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, numerous great great grandchildren, a brother Robert Paul Weyant of Claysburg and two sisters Beverly Sue Sikora (Nick) of Beaverdale and Sharon Marie (Fred) Patterson of Claysburg. He was preceded in death by three sisters Shirley Jean Smith, Gloria Mae Ford and Janet Lee Campbell and two brothers William G. “Hillbilly” and Jonny Weyant.
Charlie retired as a truck driver and logger, working for Denny Claar, Lafferty and Newry Block. He was a member of the Bedford Elks and enjoyed shooting pool. He was a Steelers fan and enjoyed automobile racing, and sponsored his son Chuck’s racecar, hunting, and spending time with his family, especially visiting his son in Green Bay.
Friends will be received on Monday December 6, 2021 from 4 P.M. until the 7:00 P.M. memorial service at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg with Rev. Dr. Dennis Corle officiating.
