Cheryl Ann (Rinker) Knisely, 64, of Altoona, passed away Saturday November 15, 2025 at Maybrook Hills. She was born June 26, 1961 in Roaring Spring, daughter of Gloria (Ball) Rinker and the late Carlton F. Rinker.
Surviving is her mother, a son Anderson P. Knisely, sisters Terri Pescatore and husband Jay, Carlyn Bastian and husband Roger, nieces, and a god daughter.
Cheryl was a 1979 graduate of Claysburg-Kimmel High School and attended the Altoona School of Commerce. She retired as a customer service representative, in 2008, from First Commonwealth Bank after 28 years of service.
She was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Altoona. She previously was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Claysburg, where she served as organist, pianist, choir director, VBS volunteer, Sunday school teacher, and lector.
Cheryl also played piano for numerous CACT musicals and played clarinet and percussion for the Claysburg American Legion Band.
A memorial service will be held on Friday July 17, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at the Harry E. Miller Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 810 Bedford Street, Claysburg, with Pastor Wendy Farber officiating.
