Curtis E. Simington, 70, of East Freedom, passed away Saturday December 17, 2022 at UPMC-Altoona. He was born August 25, 1952 in Roaring Spring, son of the late Gerald E. and Dawn Bernice (Langham) Simington. He married Cheryl A. Walter on February 25, 1971 and she preceded him in death on July 26, 2016.
Surviving are two daughters Michelle Tenley and husband Thomas Sr. and Jennifer Stapleton and husband Charles, four grandchildren Meghan and Kaycee Stapleton and Cassandra Deasey and husband Jeremy and Thomas Tenley Jr. and wife Alisha, four great grandchildren Kyra, Keegan, Quintin and Cali, three sisters Dorothy Zeak, Shirley Snively and Gerri Heidler and a brother Douglas Simington.
Curtis was a 1970 graduate of Central High School, where he was member of the FBLA. He retired as a supervisor from Conrail in 2001, where he was a member of the union and served as a representative.
Curtis enjoyed hunting, auctions, flea markets, collecting antiques and spending time with his grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. on Wednesday December 21, 2022 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday December 22, 2022 at the funeral home with Pastor Robert VanNatta officiating. Interment at Greenfield Cemetery.
