Daisy Mae (Feathers) Steele, 81, of Claysburg, passed away Saturday January 13, 2024 at home. She was born June 14, 1942 in Claysburg, daughter of the late Brady and R. Mae (Claycomb) Feathers. She married Ronald Glass, who preceded her in death on May 14, 1971, and on April 12, 1973, she married Joe Steele.
Surviving is her husband Joe, children Pamela Glass of Claysburg, Mark Glass and wife Amy of Newport News, VA, and Amy Iafolla and husband Tony of Baltimore, MD grandsons Matthew Musselman, Michael and Hunter Glass, great granddaughter Sadie Musselman, step son Michael Steele and wife Rose of Indiana, PA, son-in-law Glenn Musselman of East Freedom and sister Catherine Kintz of Altoona. She was preceded in death by a daughter Tracy Musselman and a sister H. Eileen Falldorf.
Daisy was a 1960 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School. She was primarily a homemaker, but was also employed at Cove Shoe, Morrisons Cove Livestock Market and as a school bus driver, throughout her life.
Daisy was a member of the Lower Claar Church of the Brethren and served on the Claysburg-Kimmel School Board for over 20 Years.
She was a member of the MS Society and enjoyed platting rugs and spending time with her family.
Friends will be received from 3-7 P.M. on Wednesday January 17, 2024 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg and on Thursday January 18, 2024 from 10 A.M until the 11:00 A.M. funeral service at the Lower Claar Church of the Brethren, with Allen Sell officiating. Interment at Upper Claar Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the MS Society.
