Darla J. Burket, 51, of Imler, went home to be with the Lord, on Thursday December 2, 2021. She was born July 12, 1970 in Roaring Spring, daughter of Jack and Gloria (Weyandt) Burkett. She married Craig Burket on April 4, 1987 at the Claysburg Church of God.
Surviving are her parents, her husband, three children Courtney A. Hill and husband David, Cole A. Burket and wife Dawn and Canaan A. Burket, six grandchildren Alayna, Addisyn, Aryia, Ashyr, Cohen and Corbin, four brothers Jack Jr., Jonathan, David and Aaron Burkett and two sisters Holly Hathaway and Denitia Weyant.
Darla was a 1988 graduate of Claysburg-Kimmel High School and received her license to be a Pastor through the Church of God minister internship program. She was an active member of the Claysburg Church of God, where she served as Youth Pastor.
She was a member of the National Youth Leaders Association and spent 31 years working with youth and children.
Darla enjoyed vacationing with her family at the beach and going on cruises.
Friends will be received at the Claysburg Church of God, 4311 Evergreen Road, Claysburg, PA 16625, on Sunday December 5, 2021 from 4-8 P.M. and Monday December 6, 2021 from 12-2 P.M. & 4-8 P.M. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday December 7, 2021 at the church with Pastors Kim Swindell, Terry Bowden, Marcus Tanner and Brenda Anderson officiating. Interment at Burkett Family Cemetery, Imler.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Claysburg Church of God, to be used for youth programs.
