David C. Burket Jr.

David C. Burket, Jr., 70, of East Freedom, passed away Tuesday August 8, 2023 at UPMC-Altoona. He was born February 14, 1953 in Roaring Spring, son of David and Betty (Roub) Burket. On December 12, 2004, he married Kathy Yingling.

Surviving are his wife and parents, sons Cody Burket, Darren Musselman (Taylor) and Devon Musselman (Emily), granddaughters Lily and Paisley, granddog “Sox”, and brothers Frank (Lorraine) and John (Kay) Burket.

Dave was a 1971 graduate of Claysburg-Kimmel High School and was a dairy farmer, working on the family farm. He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Claysburg.

Dave enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, especially in Canada, and hunting turkeys and coyotes, killing more than 30 coyotes.

Friends will be received from noon until the 2:00 P.M. memorial service on Friday August 11, 2023 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg with Rev. Dr. Joel Kletzing officiating.
