Deanna R. Claar-Shope

Deanna R. Claar-Shope, 54, of East Freedom, passed away Tuesday May 10, 2022 at home. She was born January 5, 1968 in Roaring Spring, daughter of Philip Claar and Patricia (Harbaugh) Claar.

Surviving is her mother of Swansboro, NC, her father of Klahr, step father Jeff Musselman of Klahr, a son Brandon M. Musselman of East Freedom, a brother Michael Claar and sister-in-law Jennifer Ponder and two nephews Zeke and Freeman Claar, all of Roaring Spring. She was preceded in death by Brandon’s father Michael Musselman and her brother Philip Michael Claar.

Deanna was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Claysburg. She was a 1985 graduate of Claysburg-Kimmel High School and was previously employed at Shirley’s Cookies and D & L Cutting.

Deanna enjoyed listening to music, campfires, watching movies, fishing, gardening, her pet pig “Piggy” and spending time with family.

Friends will be received from 4 P.M. until the 6:00 P.M. service on Tuesday May 17, 2022 at Miller Funeral Home, East Freedom, with Pastor Dennis Corle officiating.
