Doreen G. Fickes

Doreen G. Fickes, 52, of King, passed away Saturday August 27, 2022, at home, surrounded by her family, after a brief battle with Stage 4 cancer. She was born November 26, 1969 in Roaring Spring, daughter of Steve and Iris (Smith) Fickes.

Surviving are her parents of King, sisters; Denise (John) Becker and Deann (Greg) Reilly of King, brother Samuel (Mandi) Fickes of Osterburg, nephew Zachary Becker, nieces Allison Becker and Elizabeth Fickes and a special friend Donnie Dull. She was preceded in death by a niece Emily Becker, and grandparents Samuel and Catherine Fickes and Thomas and Frances Smith.

Doreen was a 1988 graduate of Claysburg-Kimmel High School and a 1994 graduate of the Altoona Hospital School of Nursing. She was employed as a registered Nurse at Garvey Manor, Hollidaysburg.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment at St. Mark’s Cemetery, King.
