Elsie L. (Sensebaugh) Hicks, 91, of Duncansville, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Homewood Living Martinsburg. She was born on January 4, 1935, in Mineral Point, daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Mildred (Davis) Sensebaugh. She married Francis Harry “Tack” Hicks on October 26, 1953, in Cumberland, MD, and he passed away on February 9, 2005.
She is survived by daughters Carol J. McCoy of Duncansville, Michelle D. Dean (Rick) of Altoona, and son Paul L. Hicks (Beth) of Duncansville, as well as seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a sister Alice Cann of Allentown. She was preceded in death by six siblings.
Elsie was a 1953 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. She was a member of Puzzletown Road Bible Church, where she was involved with serving church meals. She was a homemaker and enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles with friends, cooking and baking. She especially enjoyed hosting family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Friends will be received of Friday, February 20, 2026, from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M.at the Puzzletown Road Bible Church, 316 Puzzletown Road, Duncansville, PA 16635, and from 10 A.M. until the 11:00 A.M. funeral service on Saturday. February 21, 2026, at the church with Pastor Jon Gross officiating. Interment at Dry Run Cemetery.
