Eugene Jay Harbaugh, 68, of Imler went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday December 4, 2021 at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center. He was born on February 17, 1953 at Windber Hospital, son of the late Clark and Mary (Mock) Harbaugh.
On September 6, 1975 he married Shirley (McDonald) Harbaugh at the Upper Claar Church of the Brethren. Together with his wife, they served as deacons and janitor of their church. Eugene was a member of the Upper Claar Church of the Brethren and served on the Witness Commission and Church Board, taught Sunday School, sang with the Church Choir, helped with running the sound equipment for church services, and enjoyed helping with the many dinners and activities with the Youth Group. Eugene loved his church and his church family and was ready to help wherever he was needed.
Eugene is survived by his wife, along with (his princess) daughter Amy Irvin and husband Robert of Imler, granddaughter Emily Poborsky of California, grandson Matthew Brown of Duncansville, and brother Gary (Lisa) Harbaugh of Bedford.
Eugene loved his family and especially his daughter and grandchildren. He was a wonderful loving and caring husband, father, friend and neighbor. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
