Fleta A. Ebersole

Fleta A. Ebersole, 99, a resident of Celebration Villa of Altoona, formerly of Claysburg, passed away Friday November 17, 2023 at the home. She was born November 28, 1923 in Wells Tannery, daughter of the late Sherman and Leta (Sprowl) Amick.  She married John J. Ebersole April 24, 1943 in Winchester, VA.  He passed away Dec. 2, 2008.

Surviving are sons Robert (Brenda) and David (Winnie) Ebersole, 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and sister Helen Fowkes. She was preceded in death by a son John (Jack) Ebersole, Jr., a sister Geraldine E. (Ted) Gordon, and a brother Chester (Helen) Amick.

Fleta was a graduated of Claysburg High School. She attended Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.

The funeral service will be held at convenience of the family. Interment at Claysburg Union Cemetery.
