Fred E. Decker

Fred E. Decker, 71, of Roaring Spring, passed away Thursday August 29, 2024 at home. He was born November 22, 1952 in Roaring Spring, son of the late Eugene L. and Mildred (Teeter) Decker. He married Lois Jean Pollard on April 14, 1973 in Roaring Spring.

Surviving is his wife, two daughters Jessica and Jennifer (Paul), two granddaughters Maya and Tulsi, a sister Wilma Hengst, a brother Robert (Kathy) Decker, sister-in-law Kim Decker, brother-in-law Lemon Kurtz and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother William G. “Bill” Decker and a sisters Darla J. Shaw and Anna F. Kurtz. 

Fred was a 1970 graduate of Central High School. He retired as a welder/welding inspector from Norfolk Southern in 2001 after 27 years of service.

Fred was a member of Hollidaysburg Masonic Lodge 220 and enjoyed family time, hunting, fishing, and turkey shoots.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Roaring Spring Community Library, 320 E. Main Street, Roaring Spring, PA 16673.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
