George A. Thomas

George A. Thomas, 53, of East Freedom, passed away Saturday December 4, 2021 at Nason Hospital. He was born November 15, 1968 in Philipsburg, son of the late Larry G. and Shirley A. (Templeton) Thomas.

Surviving is his fiancée Angel Bowser of East Freedom, a son Shane Thomas and his mother Lisa of Altoona, a brother Larry Thomas and wife Marjorie of Claysburg, two sisters Lydia Shaw of Blandburg and Jodi Bailor and husband Dave of Madera, nieces Connie Stetter and husband Michael of Blandburg and Christina Proznak and wife Tonya of Coalport and a great nephew Timothy Spencer of Coalport. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Edward Shaw.

George was a 1986 graduate of Glendale High School. He was affiliated with St. Patrick’s Church, Newry where he called Bingo for many years. He was employed at Cove Shoe, Martinsburg as a B Factory assembler for over 30 years.

George enjoyed Bingo, was a Steelers fan and loved music and singing karaoke.

Friends will be received on Tuesday December 7, 2021 from 4 P.M. until the 8:00 P.M. funeral service at the Miller Funeral Home, East Freedom.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Patrick’s School, Newry.
