Gerald “Steve” Stephen Miller, 64, of East Freedom, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at home. He was born on July 17, 1961, in Roaring Spring, son of the late Gerald and Helen (Harr) Miller. He was engaged to Deborah Heeter, and she passed away on November 8, 2014.
Surviving are his children Jessica Swindell (Chris) of Martinsburg, Jennifer Welsh (Bill) of Martinsburg, and Lisa Miller of Imler, his grandchildren Colin, Blake, Caleb, Kyle, Kendall, Ryilee, Kingsley, and Paxton, sisters Dodi Krise of Imler, and Lori Miller of Claysburg, as well as his close friends Jen and Ken Nagle. He was preceded in death by his sister Melody Mentzer.
Steve was a 1979 graduate of Claysburg-Kimmel High School. He retired from Walmart Distribution Center and was previously employed by Cove Shoe.
Steve enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, his cat “Princess Hailee”, coaching girls softball, was a NASCAR fan, Pittsburgh Penguins, Steelers, Pirates fan and enjoyed Penn State Sports.
Friends will be received on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 4:00 P.M. until the 6:00 P.M. Funeral Service at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg with Pastor Kim Swindell officiating.
