James W. “Jim” Way, 79, of Altoona and Claysburg, passed away Saturday July 26, 2025 at Altoona Hospital. He was born November 4, 1945 in Hyndman, son of the late Paul S. “Silky” and Gertrude E. (Albright) Way.
Surviving are brothers Thomas and Paul B. of Claysburg, nieces Tracy, Seirra, and Lily Walter, and nephews Michael and David Way. He was presided in death by sister Joyce Eicher, Uncle Bob, Uncle Howard, and Aunt Mary.
Jim retired from GREFCO, Claysburg, and NAC, Duncansville as a machine operator.
He was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears.
Friends will be received from 2 pm until the 6 pm funeral service on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. Pastor David Way will officiate. Internment at Claysburg Union Cemetery.
