Janice L. Ritchey

Janice L. Ritchey, 60, of East Freedom, passed away Monday November 1, 2021 at home. She was born May 24, 1961 in Altoona, daughter of the late Raymond and Betty (Amick) Henry. She married Stewart R. Ritchey on May 9, 1998 in East Freedom.

Surviving is her husband of East Freedom, a daughter Sarah Airhart and husband Sam of Claysburg, two granddaughters Shaelynn and Raeleigh and a sister Patty McNally of East Freedom. She was preceded in death by a son Alan “Manni” Harr Jr., a sister Linda Houck, a brother Rick Garber and her in-laws Doug and Edna Ritchey.

Janice was a member of the Central High School Class of 1979. She was previously employed as a medical secretary at Nason Hospital.

Janice enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, watching TV, shooting pool and cooking for family and parties.

Friends will be received at the Miller Funeral Home, East Freedom, on Friday November 5, 2021 from 3:00 P.M. until the 6:00 P.M. celebration of life service with Pastor Tim Guyer officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital for all the children fighting this deadly disease.
