Jason "Hippy" P. Downs

Jason P. “Hippy” Downs, 40, of Altoona, passed away Monday October 18, 2021 at UPMC-Altoona. He was born May 12, 1981 in Altoona, son of Jim Downs of Columbus, OH and Deborah (Hoover) Downs of Altoona.

Surviving are his parents, a brother Chris Downs and wife Kristen of Altoona, a sister Stacie Downs-Claar and husband Cody of Portage, brother-in-law Don Roudabush of Roaring Spring, many nieces and nephews, including his special niece Addison, and his best friend Drew Dodson. He was preceded in death by a sister April Roudabush.

Jason was a 2000 graduate of Claysburg-Kimmel High School. He was employed as a bartender at the Blue Knob Clubhouse and also ran cable for Snyder Cable Contractors. He enjoyed online gaming and his dog “Jax”.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
