John A. Dively, 67, of East Freedom, entered his Heavenly home on June 6, 2025, following a courageous battle with Cholangiocarcinoma. He was born on September 7, 1957 to Bob and Patty Dively.
John is survived by his wife of 20 years, Terry Cannarsa; daughters Kim Miller (Brandon), Tara Dively, Tricia Leonard (Pat), Kortney Georgianna (Anthony), step-daughter Mysti Stitt (Erick Mullins) Grandchildren; Emalee, Mason, Alexis, Rylee, Lakyn, Carmen, and Rowyn Sisters Carol Wilson (Bob) and Nancy Glass (Phil) and Uncle Jimmy (Cheryl).
John was a 1975 graduate of Claysburg-Kimmel High School, where he participated in sports. He graduated from Penn State and received a Master’s Degree from Shippensburg in Criminal Justice. John received numerous awards in the Juvenile Justice Field. He retired as Deputy Chief of Juvenile Probation of Blair County.
John loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and spending time in Potter County with family and friends. Special times included trips to Canada with his childhood buddy Lynn Dodson and family, and golfing with Mike Emerick and Stan Snyder.
His final gift was donating his body to medical science. There will be no services.
