John R. C. “Bob” Lanier Jr.

John Robert Clint “Bob” Lanier Jr., 89, of Duncansville, passed away Tuesday January 28, 2025 at UPMC-Altoona. He was born December 9, 1935, in Kinston, NC son of the late John Robert Clint Lanier Sr. and Bettie Lucille (Mooring) Lanier. He married Phyllis Wyles on April 25, 1959 in Duncansville.

Surviving is his wife, daughters Lorie Willow and husband Gene of Mt. Pleasant Hills and Lisa Davensizer of Tipton, a son Robert Lanier of Duncansville, three grandchildren Morgan, Adam, and Shawnee, three great grandchildren Kierstyn, Alexis and Kendall and a sister Gloria Rodriquez of North Carolina. He was preceded in death by sisters Betty Margaret Aldridge and Marcia Westbrook.

Bob was a 1956 graduate of New Hanover High School, Wilmington NC and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 – 1960. He retired as a production expeditor from Veeder-Root in 1998 after 37 years of service.

Bob enjoyed sports, and attending his children’s games, and spending time with his family.

Services will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2025, from 1:00 P.M. until the 2:00 P.M. memorial service at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg.
