Joseph C. Dibert, 84, of Claysburg, passed away Sunday February 23, 2025 at home. He was born April 7, 1940, in Pavia, son of the late S. Elmer and Mary (Crist) Dibert. He married Mary Caldwell on June 11, 1960 in Leamersville.
Surviving is his wife, a daughter Sherri McDonald and husband Robert, a son Kevin Dibert, three grandchildren Becki Sell and husband Kelly, Bobbi Jo McDonald, and Jessica Dibert and two brothers Barry and Robert Dibert. He was preceded in death by five brothers Kenneth, Fred, Bruce, James, and Terry and three sisters Janet, Doris, and Imogene.
Joseph was a 1958 graduate of Bedford High School. He retired as a salesman from Blackburn and Russell in 2002 after more than 30 years of service. After retiring, he was a train driver at Lakemont Park and a custodian at Claysburg Elementary School.
Joseph was a member of the Leamersville Church of the Brethren. For many years, he was a Boy Scout Master for Claysburg Troop 65 and he enjoyed bowling and fishing.
Friends will be received from 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. on Friday February 28, 2025 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday March 1, 2025 at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Wyland officiating. Interment at Lower Claar Cemetery.
