Karen P. Snively, 78, of Claysburg, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on Tuesday May 2, 2023 at Pennknoll Village. She was born September 2, 1944, in Klahr, daughter of the late Ira and Jeanne (Walter) Weyant. She married Tom Snively on February 28, 1968 and he preceded her in death on January 25, 2019.
Surviving is two sons Bill Snively and wife Kelli and Andy Snively, a daughter Patricia Shomo, 3 grandchildren, Morgan McAuley, Adam and Hope Snively, 2 great grandchildren Mason McAuley and Mia Pavarini, and a brother Richard Weyant and wife Barb. She was preceded in death by brothers Gerald and Clyde “Duff” Weyant and sister-in-law Sharon Weyant.
Karen was a 1962 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School. She was employed for 17 years at Cove Shoe, Martinsburg and part time at the Salvation Army Thrift Store for 3 years.
Karen attended Lower Claar Church of the Brethren and enjoyed reading books, knitting and crocheting.
At Karen’s request there will be no viewing or memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to UPMC-Hospice.
