Kevin W. Benton

Kevin W. Benton, 53, of Claysburg, passed away Tuesday May 7, 2024 at Hilltop Healthcare and Rehab. He was born November 29, 1970, in Claysburg, son of Carol (Deffibaugh) Claar.

Surviving is his mother and father Phil Claar, a brother Harry Benton IV (Trish), numerous aunts and uncles, including Mary Lou and Troy Claycomb, David and Connie Deffibaugh, two nieces, special cousin Bessie Ann and special friend Sally Leydig.

Kevin was a member of the Upper Claar Church of the Brethren. He was a 1992 graduate of Bedford High School.

Kevin enjoyed swinging on the front porch, dancing, singing, country music, WWE Wrestling and going out to eat.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. on Thursday May 9, 2024 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday May 10, 2024 at the Upper Claar Church of the Brethren with Pastor Mark Wyland officiating. Interment at Upper Claar Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or his church.

It’s hard to let Kevin go, but we know he’s in a better place, and will always have a special place in our hearts.
