Laura E. Claar

Laura E. Claar, 96, of East Freedom, passed away Thursday January 20, 2022 at home. She was born September 6, 1925, in Pavia, daughter of the late John and Sarah J. (Berkey) Mowry. She married Orville J. Claar on November 15, 1947. He preceded her in death on April 24, 1989.

Surviving are four children Richard Claar (Charlotte) of Williamsburg, George Claar (Michelle) of East Freedom, Rachel Claar of East Freedom and Ronald Claar (Crystal) of Grantville, five grandchildren and two great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by a grandson Jason, five sisters and six brothers.

Laura was a member of the Leamersville Church of the Brethren and served with the Ladies Aide. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting and canning.

Friends will be received from 10 A.M. until the 2:00 P.M. funeral service on Tuesday January 25, 2022 at the Miller Funeral Home, East Freedom with Pastors Stephen Durr and John Bennett officiating. Interment at Leamersville Riverview Cemetery.
