Leona "Moan" C. Ott

Leona C. “Moan” Ott, 86, of Duncansville R.D., passed away Monday May 24, 2021 at the Altoona Center for Nursing Care. She was born September 20, 1934 in Donnertown, daughter of the late James Matthew and Emma (Fleck) Sell. She married R. William “Bill” Ott on August 8, 1951 in Cumberland, MD. He preceded her in death on October 21, 2003.

Surviving is a son R. William Ott Jr and wife Kathy, a daughter Dawn Jackson and husband Greg and daughter-in-law Audrey Ott all of Hollidaysburg, 5 grandchildren Travis, Matt, Steve, Mandy and Amber, a great grandson Gage, 3 sisters Ailene Butler, Shirley Smith and Jean Thompson and her dog “Daisy”. She was preceded in death by a son Gary Ott, sisters Elsie Sell and Pauline “Dot” Smith and a brother James Sell.

Leona was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. She enjoyed “old lady lunch” with her sisters, family gatherings at farm hill, Camp Lobo in Potter County, puzzles, fishing and watching eagles.

Friends will be received from 3:00 P.M. until the 7:00 P.M. funeral service on Thursday May 27, 2021, at the Miller Funeral Home, East Freedom with Pastor James Neatrour officiating. Interment at Dry Hill Cemetery.
