Marian L. Diehl, 79, of Claysburg, passed away Friday December 8, 2023 at UPMC-Altoona. She was born November 19, 1944 in Claysburg, daughter of the late Carl E. Herman Sr. and Florence V. (Weyandt) Herman. She married Lance Diehl on January 16, 1964 in Winchester, VA.
Surviving is her husband of Claysburg, two daughters Penny Claar (Jeff) of Claysburg and Lynzie Diehl (Adolfo Martinez) of Utah, two grandchildren Kelsa and Kalee, three great grandchildren Riot, Wilder and Leviticus, and a brother Carl E. Herman Jr. of King.
Marian was a 1962 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School and attended Pruonto’s Hair Design Institute. She owned and operated Marian Diehl’s Beauty Salon since 1967.
Marian enjoyed sewing, styling hair, and talking with her customers. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, her kitties “Mr. Whiskers and Lady” and tending to her flower beds.
Marian was a supporter of St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital and natural healing. Her two most treasured things were her love of the Lord and her family.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital.
