Mark D. Dodson

Mark D. Dodson, 59, of Claysburg, passed away at home on Sunday February 23, 2025. He was born on October 16, 1965 in Roaring Spring, son on Audrey Jean (Shaw) Dodson, and the late John W. Dodson. He married Gail L. Cavender and she passed away February 9, 2005. He then married Andrea Rupert on November 1, 2010 in Berkely Springs, WV.

Surviving is his wife, children Daphney Bolen, Britiney Moor, Benjamin Dodson (Katelyn Bauer), James Dodson, Samuel Dodson, Mitchell Dodson, and Gavin Dodson, grandchildren Lila and Jack, and sisters Cheryl Beckham, and Karen Claar.  He was preceded in death by his former in laws Richard and Miriam Louise Cavender.

Mark was a 1983 graduate of Claysburg Kimmel High School, and Penn Tech in Williamsport with a associate degree in Electrical Engineering. He was employed by Diebold for more than 25 years, and currently working for Wittenbach the past 3 years.  

He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, and cherished his time at the hunting camp. Mark could always be found tinkering and fixing things.

Friends will be received on Thursday February 27, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the Leslie- Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg.

Funeral Services will be held Friday February 28, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Erik Lingenfelter officiating. Interment at Claysburg Union Cemetery.
