Melva L. Grabill

Melva L. Grabill, 88, formerly of Imler, passed away Tuesday May 10, 2022 at Epworth Manor, Tyrone. She was born December 3, 1933 in Sproul, daughter of the late Dorsey Jacob and Lucy (Musselman) Ripple. She married Howard L. Grabill Sr. on October 24, 1953 in Winchester, VA. He preceded her in death on November 4, 2016.

Surviving is a son Howard Grabill Jr. (Candy) of Imler, a daughter Alice Lucas (Stephen) of Tyrone, 4 grandsons Christopher, Matthew, Chad and Dustin, 6 great grandchildren Alexia, Isaac, Jacob, Anna Jane, Chloe and Abriella and a sister Dianna Welsh. She was preceded in death by brothers Elwood “Jake” Musselman, Dorsey and Robert Ripple and a sister Patty Weyandt.

Melva was a 1951 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School and retired from Sylvania after more than 20 years of service. She was a member of the Claysburg Church of the Brethren.

Melva enjoyed crafts, puzzle books, going out to eat, and when she was younger boating and camping.

Friends will be received from 4-8 P.M. on Friday May 13, 2022 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday May 14, 2022 at the funeral home with Pastor Ron Bashore officiating. Interment at Imler Valley Cemetery.
