Michael H. Smith

Michael H. Smith, 70, of East Freedom, passed away Wednesday July 6, 2022 at home. He was born August 8, 1951 in Roaring Spring, son of the late Melvin L. and Beatrice M. (Smith) Smith. He married Karen (Kauffman) Smith.

Surviving is his wife Karen, two stepsons John and Kevin Kauffman, 10 step grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother Gordon L. “Dino” Smith.

Michael retired from New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company after more than 30 years of service. He enjoyed racing and fixing cars and motorcycles.

Friends will be received from 4 P.M. until the 6:00 P.M. memorial service on Saturday July 9, 2022 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be given to the funeral home to help with expenses.
