Patricia “Patty” Ann Mountain

Patricia Ann “Patty” Mountain, 85, of East Freedom, went to meet her loving husband, on Saturday January 28, 2023 at the Presbyterian Home. Hollidaysburg. She was born November 16, 1937 in Claysburg, daughter of the late Edward B. and Margaret P. (Bartholow) Lewis. On August 1, 1952, in East Freedom, she married Sheldon L. Mountain and he preceded her in death on July 31, 2015.

Surviving is a son Alan L. Mountain (Nancy) and a daughter Joyce A. Kumpf both of Imler, grandchildren Gregory A. Mountain (Lindsey Reynard) of Reedsville, Glenn E. Mountain (Alexis) of Windber, Courtney A. Kumpf (Alex Giustini) of Reno, NV and Cory Kumpf (Megan Shingler) of Imler, a sister Marian Brightbill of East Freedom and her former son-in-law Barry Kumpf. She was preceded in death by siblings Leo Bartholow, Kathryn Smouse, George Lewis, Mary Smith, Edith Ebersole, Robert Lewis, Joann Mountain and Barbara Musselman.

Patty was a lifelong housewife, supporting the many endeavors of her husband Sheldon, which kept her busy throughout their life together. In later years, she loved to dote on her grandchildren.

Friends will be received from noon until the 2:00 P.M. funeral service on Thursday February 2, 2023 at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg with Pastor Rich Shingler officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Claysburg Area Public Library.
