Phyllis Jean Lanier, 86 of Duncansville, Pa passed away on October 6, 2025, after a short hospital stay, surrounded by her children. Phyllis was the daughter of Alice Lee Wyles and Glenn Wyles of Duncansville. She was born at home in Puzzletown. She was married to John R. Clint Lanier, Jr. on April 25, 1959 in Duncansville, until his death, earlier this year on January 28, 2025. They were married 65 + years and were inseparable.
Surviving are her 3 children Lorie Willow (Gene), Lisa Davensizer, and Robert Lanier; 3 grandchildren Morgan Davensizer, Adam Davensizer, and Shawnee Graham and 4 great grandchildren Kierstyn, Alexis, Kendall and Owen Lee. Phyllis was the oldest of six siblings in which two are surviving Beverly Berkey and Kenneth Wyles. She also shared a very special bond with cousin Vickie Harder Bartley. She enjoyed her family over the years and always looked forward to the annual family beach trip to Carolina Beach, NC.
She enjoyed hobbies and activities such as assembling complicated puzzles, family genealogy, which she had traced back to the 1400's, and cardinal bird collecting. She loved animals and her special love was of horses which she enjoyed for many years.
She will be best remembered for her kindness and selfless personality. She had a calm and giving nature. She was a woman of few words but always sharp as a tack with an impeccable memory and worldwide knowledge. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Services will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2025, from 1:00 P.M. until the 2:00 P.M. memorial service at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg.
We warmly invite everyone in attendance to join us at the Claysburg Community Center, after the services for a light meal, at 122 Senior Drive, Claysburg.
