Ray A. Beck

Ray A. Beck, 76, of East Freedom, passed away Tuesday January 7, 2025 at home. He was born August 21, 1948, in Roaring Spring, son of the late Raymond K. and Annie M. (Snyder) Beck. He married Carol Brown-Harker on September 23, 1972 in Duncansville.

Surviving is his wife of East Freedom, a son Kevin Beck (Shonda) of Maryland, a daughter Stephanie Nagle (Joseph) of Altoona, four grandchildren Alexis, Joseph, Spencer, and Silas, two step grandchildren Samantha and Sydni, and a sister Linda Ferry (J. Samuel Sr.). He was preceded in death by a brother Chester David Beck.

Ray was a 1967 graduate of Central High School. He retired as a logger from Helsel Lumber in 2005.

Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching Jimmy Swaggart Ministries, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Friends will be received from noon until the 2:00 P.M. funeral service on Friday January 10, 2025, at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg, with Pastor Jim Snyder officiating. Interment at Dry Hill Cemetery.
