Roy S. Weyant, 76, of King, passed away Friday March 13, 2026, at UPMC-Presbyterian. He was born March 25, 1949, in Rock Hill Furnace, son of the late Edgar Myrl and Anna Mary (Hoenstine) Weyant. On October 2, 1970, in Winchester, VA, he was united in marriage to Diane Eicher.
Surviving is his wife, daughters Jennifer Erdman and husband Daniel of West Middlesex, Shannon Davis of Altoona and Elizabeth Smith and husband Travis of Hopewell, 8 grandchildren, Jeffrey Davis, Kala Wooten, Dariann Romian, Dalton Davis, McKenzie Erdman, Sidney Davis, Avery Smith and Colton Smith, 2 great grandchildren Adelynn Davis and Jeffrey Davis Jr., 2 sisters Yetta Ruth Bengtson of Florida and Mary Ann Merryman of Indiana and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law Bill Davis.
Roy was a 1967 graduate of Bloomfield High School in Bloomfield New Mexico and received a B.S. in Education from Bethel University in Mishawaka, Indiana. He retired as a heavy equipment operator from Leonard S. Fiore in 2012 after 28 years of service.
Roy was a member of the Martinsburg and Hopewell Sportsman’s Clubs. He enjoyed hunting, coin collecting, short track racing sports and going to gun shows, flea markets and auctions. Roy’s greatest pleasure though, was spending time with his grandkids.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. on Friday March 20, 2026, and from 10 A.M. until the 11 A.M. funeral service on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg with Pastor James Neatrour officiating.
