Sara Jane (Barrett) Clark, 99, of Imler, formerly of Warriors Mark, passed away Monday, November 24, 2025. She was born in Juniata, Altoona on May 14, 1926, the daughter of the late James E. Barrett and Sarah E. (Ayers) Barrett. She married George Stanley Clark, on July 16, 1944, in Altoona. He passed away on February 24, 2012, ending a 67-year marriage.
Surviving a son, Stanley W. Clark and wife, Connie of Imler; two granddaughters: Sarah Kathleen Hoffman and husband, John of Edmond, OK, and Angel D. Ritchey and companion, Rich of Central City; five great-grandchildren: Jhon (Kiley), Zach, Emma, and Allison Hoffman, and Mya Ritchey, and a great great grandson Grayson Hoffman. Also survived by a sister Margaret Malovich of Bellwood. She was preceded in death by her great granddaughter Grace Ritchey, four sisters, and 2 brothers.
Sara was a graduate of Altona High School, class of 1944. She retired from Penn State University in 1985.
Sara was a member of the Upper Claar Church of the Brethren and former member of Spring Mount Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School and assisting with Bible School. She especially enjoyed her family and church family, reading, and crossword puzzles.
Friends will be received on Monday, December 1, 2025, from 4:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. with visitation one hour prior to the services at the Upper Claar Church of the Brethren with Pastor Mark Wyland officiating. A luncheon will follow the services.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local food bank in memory of Sara.
Interment will be in Spring Mount Cemetery, Warriors Mark.
