Viola J. Duvall

Viola J. Duvall, 67, of Saxton, passed away Wednesday December 18, 2024 at home. She was born December 26, 1956 in Six Mile Run, daughter of the late Lewis and Alma Jean (Hedges) Singer.

Surviving is her husband Merrill M. Duvall Sr., six children Apryl Musselman (Matt) of Claysburg, Tanya Barker (Wilbert) of Broad Top, Crystal Eltman of Everett. Merrill Duvall Jr. of Houtzdale, Velma “Toots” Gillum (Kenneth) of Saxton and Amanda Smith (Alyssa) of Shippensburg, 18 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

She is also survived by 3 sisters Linda McElwee, Janice Black, and Renee Hagerty and 4 brothers Richard, Kevin, Danny, and Jerry Singer. Viola was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren Dalton Duvall and Dylan Getz and 3 brothers Kenneth and Eddie Singer and Rodney Hedges.

Viola retired as a housekeeper from Raystown Lake Resort. She was a member of the Saxton VFW and Six Mile Run American Legion.

Viola enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley, watching soap operas, crocheting, reading, diamond dots, angels and, monkeys.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
